How the Rift works
- A different boss every day – four of them take turns.
- The boss never regenerates while you fight it. Fall back to the exit beacon to repair, then go again. It only recovers after 5 minutes without a hit.
- Each difficulty can be beaten once per evening. Rift parts craft the Rift Cannon, Rift Bulwark and Rift Phase Drive.
- The game warns you 30 minutes before the Rift opens.

Every ship is unlocked by playing. Bigger hulls carry more lasers, more generators and a nastier ability.

Gameplay
What you do out there
Every session is different: live events, roaming warlords, hidden wrecks and a world boss every evening.
Slay world bosses
Four Rift bosses rotate every day. Dodge rift strikes, fall back to repair and grind them down – their health never comes back while you fight.
Hunt alien warfleets
Snipers, kamikaze Detonators, Menders that heal the pack and Wardens that shield it. Pick your targets.
Chase legendary loot
Rare, Epic and Legendary lasers, shields and engines drop with random bonuses. Every kill is a lottery ticket.
Live sector events
Pirate raids, meteor showers, smuggler runs and warlord sightings – with bounties for whoever gets there first.
Explore derelicts
Hidden wrecks drift in every sector. Scan them for credits, parts and rare gear – unless it's an ambush.
Build your fleet
Lasers, shields, engines, drones with chips and platings, skills and 13 liveries. Craft any ship or weapon in the Workshop. Nothing is sold for real money.
Fly with friends
Co-op for 2–4 pilots. Credits, XP and ore are shared, and every boss pays every pilot in full. On the same network you just use the host's IP. From different houses, use the free Radmin VPN:

- 3Friends join that IPType it in and press Join host IP. That's it.
Latest updates
The launcher downloads every new version by itself – press Update, then Play.

Is Vectron Orbit free to play?
Yes. Vectron Orbit is 100% free to play and never pay-to-win. Nothing in the game can be bought with real money – every ship, laser, shield and upgrade is earned by playing.
What kind of game is Vectron Orbit?
A fast 2D top-down space MMO shooter for Windows PC. You fly a warship, hunt alien warfleets and boss pilots, collect loot boxes, mine rare ore and upgrade your ship – in the spirit of the classic browser space MMOs, rebuilt as a modern PC game.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Co-op supports 2–4 pilots. Credits, XP and ore are shared and every boss pays every pilot in full. Play over LAN or, from different houses, with the free Radmin VPN.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or 11, a graphics card with Vulkan support (most cards from 2016 on) and about 25 MB of disk space. A Graphics Quality setting (Low / Medium / High) keeps big fights smooth on older PCs.
Will I lose my progress if I reinstall?
No. Create a free account in the game (Account menu) and your progress is saved in the cloud – sign in on any PC and it comes back.
How do I install and update the game?
Download the launcher, run it and press Install. Every new version downloads automatically – press Update, then Play.
